Talyd

Talyd: the legacy, authenticity & nobility of descent. The starting point that we always begin our inspiration journey from.

Talyd is a collection of vases that were inspired by the old metal pot (jidr) that was used in the past to cook food in over open fires.

The design represents a modern take of these historical findings. Through maintaining the relationship with the culinary culture, the vases set was reinterpreted in a minimal way whilst reflecting the significance of it in every household.

Certain shapes derived from the original pots were used as the starting point for the collection, and then further enhanced to create functional objects that reflect the original inspiration through a minimal and contemporary approach.

Talyd is a collaboration with Cosentino Middle East for their Capsule collection “Breaking Boundaries”. It features Dekton Slim in 4mm - the ultracompact material format born out of Cosentino’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and pushing the boundaries of surface design.
