Dana Bench

Majid magazine was a big part of our childhoods.

Inspired by the character Dana in Majid Magazine, the Dana Bench embodies the character’s image into a children’s piece of furniture. The bench consists of playful elements that are withdrawn from Dana’s physical appearance such as her curly hair and her large earrings.

The design of the bench is meant to trigger children’s curiosities such as their search for vibrant colors and playful shapes. A whimsical element of the design is added through the hidden storage that can be pulled out & the removable cushioned tubes that form a mat for the kids to play on.

Dana Bench was part of the UAE Design Stories program that was launched by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development and Dubai Design District.
