Tebr Salam Vase
The Tebr collection consists of a set of vases and tableware which are inspired by intricate patterns that adorned the historic architecture of the United Arab Emirates, and explores their interpretation into modern everyday lives.
The collection draws inspiration from motifs carved on an old wooden door found in Al Ain Palace, the residence of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; the Founding Father and former UAE President.
Historically, wooden doors were a canvas for creativity, where the decorative carvings on the doors reflected the status of that household. The motifs used in 'Tebr' carry a strong character, reminiscent of these doors.
The designs are cast in the finest quality porcelain to resemble the door’s massive brass nails and locks, reflecting opulence inherent in artistic creation.
