Wooden Frame
This frame embodies several elements from the UAE culture that represent security, resilience and prosperity. Iconic references used in the illustration that resemble protection such as the main entrance of Qasr Al Watan, Qasr Al Hosn, and different types of forts, come together to paint a complete picture of the UAE’s strength and grandiosity led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Qasr Al Hosn’s architectural planning was meticulously designed to the smallest detail to serve the protection of its residents and the country against its enemies. Its parapets that rest above its walls were devised in specific shapes for the purpose of hiding its people against direct contact of any intruders. The illustration depicts Qasr Al Watan, the presidential palace, and cultural landmark that houses the rich legacy of knowledge and tradition that has shaped the UAE. Additionally, several palm trees are portrayed as part of the landscape as a symbol of strength and prosperity; a very important icon of the culture of the UAE.
The illustration is engraved on a wooden frame that houses a hand drawn image that reunites the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in addition to an engraved quote of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The frame is wrapped with a brushed brass detailing. It is housed in a walnut wood box with a camel leather woven lid.
